Ismail Akinci, B.A.
NAATI Accredited Interpreter

Chief Executive Officer

Ismail began his career as a professional interpreter in 1986. He is the founder of All Graduates Interpreting & Translating Services (the most reputable provider of on-site interpreters to government), and Interpreterline (a specialist 3-way telephone interpreting service providing 24 hour service to business and government).

Ismail is a highly energetic business operator with a great understanding of languages, cultures and the translation process. He has helped hundreds of organisations to communicate their messages to a global audience. Ismail is passionate about ensuring that your message is not lost in translation.

Ismail has been a member of the NAATI* Regional Advisory Committee for over 10 years, and is currently the Deputy Chair of the RMIT Course advisor Board, Translating and Interpreting, School of Global Studies, RMIT University.

Uyen Nguyen, B.SC.

Operations Manager

Uyen is a science graduate and trained Quality Auditor. She is committed to quality management, systems and outcomes. Uyen is the backbone of Meaningful Exchange to ensure that we deliver a truly superior customer experience. Uyen has an excellent track record in producing the results that our clients demand. Her holistic approach to customer service means that she is always listening and paying attention to not only what clients say, but what they really mean and want.

Uyen is also a member of the NAATI* Regional Advisory Committee.

Tony Steiner

Program Manager, Translations

Tony graduated in France in business and foreign languages (English, Italian and Japanese). He has over 10 years of experience in project management with six years in the localization industry in Canada.

Tony has gained great expertise and knowledge in the translation business and has a passion for languages & new technologies.

Alexandra Norris, B.A (Psychology and Education)

Corporate Account Manager

Alexandra is highly committed to delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that our customers are always satisfied with the quality and attention to their needs.

Alexandra has extensive experience as a business development manager with 8 years experience in the translation industry. Alexandra's experience has been gained through working for two of the ten largest international translation and localisation companies, as well as one Australian owned company.

Alexandra's unique skills and expertise enables her to ensure that our customer’s requirements are professionally managed from initial contact, through the production stages and final delivery of project.


Suzanne

Suzanne Robertson

Translations Project Manager

Degree in Translating and Interpreting - Spanish, English and German (Universidad Complutense Madrid)

Suzanne has recently completed an undergraduate degree in Translating and Interpreting at Universidad Complutense Madrid. Her professional experience includes translations for the travel industry, several Not-for-Profit Government organisations and the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture.

Phu Nguyen

Translations Project Manager

Phu has completed a Graphic Design course, assisting our current complement of designers, finalising translations into ready-to-print documents. In addition, his role at Meaningful Exchange includes ensuring our branding is delivered with consistency.

MartaKoval

Marta Koval

Translations Project Manager

Master of Arts (Magister Artrium) in American Studies, English and German Linguistics, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany

Prior to joining Meaningful Exchange, Marta was a Bilingual Paralegal at Maurice Blackburn Commercial Lawyers. She is currently working towards her NAATI accreditation in German and Czech languages.

NAATI is a national standards body owned by the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments of Australia.

NAATI:
  • Sets and maintains the standards of translation and interpreting at four accreditation levels.
  • Accredits translators and interpreters who meet the specified standards.
  • Approves T & I courses at tertiary institutions in Australia.
  • Assesses T & I qualifications obtained from overseas tertiary institutions.
